Offline Ad Delivery and Production Guidelines
Ad delivery
You can send your adverts to Auto Trader via AdFast (Auto Trader National Sales,) compact disc or email (TMN.Artwork@tradermedia.co.uk) We advise you to use AdFast, as you then have the opportunity to view your adverts progress at any stage.
Ad deadline
All adverts must be received by 2pm Thursday, one week prior to publication. For compact disc adverts must be received by 11am Wednesday one week prior to publication.
We regret that we will not be able to accept any artwork after these times.
Production guidelines
Application – for successful application of your artwork the preferred file format is Adobe PDF V4 – pdf 1.3 (files must be CMYK and Composite).
Fonts – Pseudo italics and pseudo bold fonts must not be used (keystroke bold/italic)
Multiple Master and Truetype fonts should be avoided as they can cause unpredictable final output. ALL FONTS MUST BE EMBEDDED.
Graphical Elements- Image resolutions should be 250-300dpi in final PDF. Combined colour ink density should not exceed 300% All imagery is in CMYK, ie no RGB or LAB images. 4 colour process work must have all pantone colours and RGB/LAB images converted to CMYK prior to creating PDFs as consistent colour conversion on the RIPs cannot be guaranteed.
File Naming- Ensure the file name starts with AT (for Auto Trader) followed by name, size, date (including region if required.) eg AT Joe Bloggs 5x2 12.07 SCAT
Were possible an order number will be supplied which can be used as the file name. Do not use any special characters in the file name eg /:\*,.!~&}]()
