New car buyers break records
It seems there has never been a better time to buy a new car. Despite pessimism by some consumers towards the economy, the nation’s new car buyers broke sales records last quarter with figures that the SMMT reports haven’t been seen since 1999. Driven by factors such as low cost finance and manageable monthly payments, sales were much higher than those expected during the busy March registration period.
What’s more, that trend looks set to continue, as 57% of people surveyed in our Quarterly Market Tracker believe July, August and September are a good time to buy.
