AutoTrader buy into a raft of off-the shelf reporting tools such as Comscore, Nielsen Netratings, Hitwise, Adrelevance, Ad dynamix, TGI, TGI.net, BMRB, BRAD and Mintel. We use these to ensure that we fully understand our audience and our competitors.
Auto Trader also has a fully functioning research Department led by Nick King, Business Intelligence Director, that includes three Business analysts: Stuart Bluck, Marie Caranay and Hubert Brillet.
Nick joined the Trader Media Group in January 2007 and is responsible for analysis and insights within the many reporting tools currently available for the internet.
Prior to this he spent four years, as the Director of Research at Diffiniti / Carat Interactive, responsible for a team of researchers. The team advised Blue-chip clients including AOL, AutoTrader, Coco-Cola, Diageo, Disney, Kodak, Renault, Halifax, Norwich Union, and Orange on the development of their marketing and communications strategies in the Digital arena.
After graduating from Loughborough, Nick spent 3 years in advertising and planning at Dorlands and Lintas, 3 years as a rock star with Great Northern Electrics, ran a music production company, was a publisher on High-end Hi-Fi magazines at Petersen/EMAP for 7 years, and was Marketing Manager at Superscape for 3 years.
