It's official. Auto Trader&rsquo;s &pound;15 million rebrand investment is making the world of advertising even easier. The results are back and counted; in March 2008 we achieved a record breaking 10.3 million* unique users.

allows advertisers to serve ads only to users who we have qualified
as being interested in insurance. Our new cookie targeting allows us
to identify in-market users who have been to the insurance centre
and re-target them across autotrader.co.uk.

A survey of 5000 Auto Trader users has revealed that 60% of users
researched insurance and finance online before purchasing and 50%
admitted to having bought insurance online in the last 12 months.
</p>
<p>
Any given month one twelfth of the unique users visiting Auto Trader
are in the market to buy or renew their insurance policy. As most
insurers can provide quotes up to 12 weeks in advance of a policy
commencement date the effective audience for quotes is over
2.5 million uniques.

Last month, TFL booked 750,000 expandable skyscrapers targeting young drivers in the London area, for their current young driver campaign. TFL wanted to stop young drivers using excessive and inappropriate speed, and to protect vulnerable road users.* Research carried out by Auto Trader shows just how confident young drivers are with regards to speeding. 84% of under 25s thought they could handle speeds of 70mph+, with 85% admitting to speeding on the motorway and 66% admitting to speeding in built up areas.

area. With 2 million young drivers visiting autotrader.co.uk and geo-targeting capabilities,

According to a recent survey 55% of autotrader.co.uk
users have purchased electrical goods online, whilst 43% buy holidays online. Research carried out in March 2008 sampled 5000 Auto Trader users to shed light on their
non-motoring online buying habits.
</p>
<p>
The research revealed 1 in 5 users spent more than &pound;120 online every month, correlating with industry wide online trends. Two out of three users purchased from online high street stores whilst 65% bought from online auction sites
and 56% from large independent websites.

The Auto Trader New Car search facility has cemented its position as the biggest in the country by reaching a million searches per month*. The New Car search functionality allows users to search new car stock and manufacturers to target users who are really interested in buying a new vehicle. It&rsquo;s a great advertising opportunity for new car advertisers and the area enjoys high CTRs and performance.
