Auto Trader launches display advertising offering on WAP site
Auto Trader, the UK’s no 1 motoring website and magazine, has launched its display advertising offering on its WAP site, with excellent initial results for clients such as O2 and Auto Glass. Auto Trader’s WAP site achieved almost 400,000 page impressions last month* and traffic is continuing to grow. An estimated 260,000 paid adverts have been served during May, with a click through rate of almost 2%, highlighting that the WAP service is an excellent opportunity for advertisers. (*Source: Auto Trader Internal Audit, April 2008). Auto Trader is already hosting successful ad campaigns for several clients including O2, ITV Formula 1, BMW and Auto Glass. Following the successful website refresh of AutoTrader.co.uk in March this year, the Auto Trader WAP site will experience a similar makeover this summer. Consumers will benefit from a new glossier look and feel as well as improved search functionality, car review content and information on finance, insurance and vehicle check products. The new site will increase advertising opportunities by offering banner impressions at both the top and the bottom of the screen, encouraging higher click through rates for the advertiser.
The space is sold through 4th Screen Advertising, the UK’s largest independent mobile sales agency.
